I have the honour to submit for your information the enclosed report of Mr. Drury who has been for some time in charge of the drains and sewage system of the Colony.

2. Mr. Drury's very exhaustive report shows the necessity for a large increase of the latrine accommodation, and urges the immediate addition of the staff of the Sanitary Board of three drain Inspectors to insure that so far as possible the storm water drains shall not become dangerous centres of disease.

I consider that the employment of those men is shown to be necessary, and request your authority to employ them at a salary as stated on the enclosed papers of particulars.
